So, these are the new indie kids on the block.Hailing from Lambeth, London, indie-rock quartet Palma Violets have only been making music together for eighteen months but have swaggered their way onto legendary indie label Rough Trade and won themselves a number of awards. After their online fan base sent them whirring through the hype machine, catching the attention of the NME, the band has been reaching dizzy new heights.

With raw vocals and driving guitar riffs, ‘Best of Friends’ is as catchy as hell. And the public must agree as it was voted ‘Best Track of the Year’. Take a look at the official video:

The band have had a hectic few months; they are fresh off the NME Awards Tour 2013, where they performed alongside Miles Kane, Django Django and Peace; their debut album ‘180’ was released February 25th, and two days later they received ‘Best New Band’ at the NME Awards ceremony.

The two frontmen, Sam Fryer and Chilli Jesson, clearly have a special chemistry. Their onstage relationship has been likened to Peter Doherty and Carl Barat of The Libertines. They bounce and feed off of each others energy

Their live shows are sure to involve plenty of crowd-surfing, stage-diving, undergarments being tossed at band members and stage invasions.

Here’s our live clip of ’14’ show at Boston Arms, London:

Check out their tour dates. You can order their debut album ‘180’ here.
